PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for technical and aesthetic quality control of material produced by the television station.
  • Significant input with members of BO&E management in equipment specifications, purchasing, evaluation and installation planning as it pertains to production and on-air operations. 
  • Involved in long range planning for facility development, specifically in production systems, production efficiency and advanced digital technology.
  • Contributes input for the design and implementation of on air look and presentation. Creative input on locally produced programs. 
  • Works with other departments or outside producers to organize and communicate technical information needed for each production or for specific operational shifts.
  • Serves as technical resource to members of the Creative Service department.
  • Works with the Senior Director and Producers in mentoring staff on industry standards and practices.
  • Works closely with Directors, Technical Directors and News personnel to proactively deal with the day to day needs of news operations and local content creation.
